A new client is on the horizon. There is initial contact via email, phone, message or whatever it might be outlining in very broad terms what they’re after. You meet in person either at their office or over a casual cup of coffee and discuss the project in more detail. A lot can be learned from this meeting not just of the project but of the client you will potentially be working with.
I was advised that my last blog post was a bit of a downer and on inspection perhaps it doesn’t reflect entirely where things are at the moment. As I said the post was purely a therapeutic exercise written at the spur of the moment right after a particular thing. It served its purpose and I have very much moved on and things have started falling into place. So, success? What is that?
Life is tough. It’s full of heartache and stress and what not. I’m actually writing this on the back of some disappointing news for me on a business level. Without going into too much detail, something that I reached for and tried didn’t work out and so an opportunity has been lost for me. Cest la vie right?
I’m not very good at taking constant orders. I never have been. I’m not sure where this stemmed from, or originated but it’s always been there. This probably paints some kind of rebellious leather jacket wearing, motorcycle riding cliché in your mind and actually I can assure you that it couldn’t be further from the truth.
The timing is just about right for “Ready Player One”. Steven Speilberg’s latest popcorn adventure (an adaptation of the Ernest Cline novel of same name) is hitting at arguably the zenith of the on-going retro and pop culture obsession that has taken the world in its comforting arms. With that in mind, your enjoyment of the movie will depend on how invested you are in said retro movement.
